and advantageous to the local ecosystem.

“The Vriksam, the largest plantation drive of Rajasthan”
A Monsoon Sunday, when School kids wakeup late in the morning, Rohan, student of 8 th standard at 6.55 am reached to barren land of science and technology department,Udaipur.
His enthusiastic calling was not usual, he was going to be a little contributor for an unforgettable, historical movement, Vriksham. on July
17,2017 with school children and volunteers from various organizations to
make Udaipur and Rajasthan lush green and environmental healthy.
‘Vriksham’ is green movement by Praveen Saini with the aim to protect the ecology and increase the green cover in Udaipur city with regular plantations drives and utmost attention to ensure saplings maintenance and care.
Udaipur city has seen a big day, when in Vrikhsam’s last plantation drive 5000 saplings at 32 different places in a single day which was twice of the regular plantation in the city were planted.
The Zeal did not stop there.
Then came there an historical day. The Largest ever drive of the State. Thousands of volunteers participated in the revolutionary green movement.
When On 16 July , at 260 places of Rajasthan of various districts Udaipur,Jaipur, Dungarpur,banswara,pratapgarh,sirohi,kota,Jhalawar, jaislmer,barmer,joshpur 13,000 saplings were planted at the same time.
The plantation drive stands apart with its focus on sustaining the plants; to ensure metal tree guards were provided for plants. Class-IX student Rohan, who participated in the plantation drive, said this is a life changing moment for him. He would take care of the sapling he had planted. “It is sapling of a mango tree. I will take care of it till it bears fruits,” he said.
Vriksham has not only planted Hugh number of saplings but also sowed immense responsibility to keep earth mother green in everyone who were involved in.
